What's the case actually worth?

Uses the multiplier method - the industry-standard starting point for personal injury settlements. Medical bills + lost wages, times a severity multiplier, minus the fault reduction. This is a range, not a promise.

How the number is built
This is the multiplier method. It's the standard starting point insurance adjusters use - but real settlements depend on liability evidence, insurance policy limits, jurisdiction's tort reform, and how willing the case is to go to trial. Always retain a personal injury attorney before accepting an offer.
State rules varyResults are directional only. Every state has its own statutes, case law, and fee structures. This calculator uses general assumptions that may not reflect the specific rules in your state. Confirm with an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction before relying on these numbers.

Want a plain-English explainer of settlement valuation?

We'll email you a summary of the multiplier method vs. the per-diem method for pain and suffering, plus how comparative negligence changes the math. Educational only - not legal advice, not a case valuation.
